Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy
At certain times in life we all encounter challenges and difficulties that impact our psychological and emotional wellbeing.
As a qualified, experienced psychotherapist and counsellor my expertise lies in signposting for you the areas on which to focus in order to resolve the issues you bring. I provide non-judgmental support to help you make positive changes.
There is no "one size fits all" method or theory when it comes to dealing with the complexity of an individual human being, their particular life story and personal experiences. Hence my way of working will be tailored to your needs.
The process of starting therapy is simple, even though it may not feel easy, and I do my best to make you feel comfortable in the initial session.
An initial session gives us the opportunity to see how we get along and for me to assess how I can help. We also discuss practicalities such as fees and your preferred appointment time for ongoing sessions. There is no commitment at this stage and you can go away and think about it or we can mutually agree to start working together and schedule our first few sessions.
How long we work together is up to you and we will regularly review our work together.
