Supervision

Supervision is a joint endeavour in which a practitioner with the help of a supervisor attends to their clients, themselves as part of their client practitioner relationships, and the wider systemic context, and by so doing improves the quality of their work, transforms their client relationships, continuously develops themselves, their practice and the wider profession. Hawkins & Shohet

My supervision embraces a broad range of theoretical orientations (including psychodynamic, person-centred, existential, humanistic and transpersonal). My aim as a supervisor is to enable the unfolding and development of your unique way of working as a therapist/counsellor in addition to supporting you in better understanding your clients and working more effectively with them.

I work integratively, tailoring the supervision to your needs and I draw mainly on Shohet and Hawkins’ 7 Eyed Model of Supervision, which provides 7 different ways of looking at client work. I offer the option to make use of creative imagination in the supervisory space, which might include drawing, sand tray or visualisations, depending on the requirements and preferences of supervisees.

I offer individual supervision for both qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists at Central London practice locations.
I have provided group supervision for Barts NHS Trust and Brent Bereavement Services.
